Sensei Gopu Nair’s

                                                          Sensei Gopu Nair is one of from those masters who want to do something specially for Martialarts. Sensei Gopu Nair founded International Kyokujitsu Isshinryu Karate-do Association. The Japanese name Kyokujitsu means ‘rising sun’. He dedicate his heart and mind for the art. Sensei Gopu Nair was born in Kerala. From younger age he was interested in many arts. His mother is a trainer of south Indian classical dances. From his mother he learn Nritya. His Martialart journey begins with Chinese Kungfu under Sifu Stoji Mathew. At that time Kungfu was more popular in Kerala. He often to travel 15-20 KMS. to learn the art. He train under the master for two years. Later he learn Kalaripayattu from one of his relative. Later he came to Vapi (Gujarat). 

                                 Sensei Gopu Nair starts his first dojo of Isshinryu Karate in Dungra (Vapi, Gujarat). At that time he was only a 8th kyu yellow belt. He start his first class with fifteen students, but some of them were very lazy and some had no need for such a hard training. So they stopped their training. Sensei Gopu Nair continue his class with other few students.

                                 Around 2005 Sensei Gopu Nair also acted in a tele film and t.v. serial. He continue his training and also trained many students in the art of Isshinryu Karate-do. As well as Karate training, Sensei Gopu Nair also interested with his Kobudo Practice. Sishi No Kun is one of his favourite weapon kata. He performed Sishi No Kun in many Karate championships and where ever he performed the kata he got victory every time. He is also famous for his advanced self-defence techniques.

                                He need a foundation for his method so he took a decision to make his own organization from were one can learn both Isshinryu Karate and Okinawan weaponary art Kobudo. His San Dan Black belt in Isshinryu Karate was awarded by Hanshi Phillip R. Furgason, Ku Dan (President of American Isshinryu Karate Association) and Renshi Daniel M. Munoz., Go Dan (General Secretary of American Isshinryu Karate Association). Sensei Gopu Nair promoted to Yon Dan by Kaicho Christopher P. Chase, Ku Dan ( Hanshi ) President of Okinawa Isshinryu Karate Kobudo Association and was also awarded 'Menkyo kai', the Highest Instructor award a Karate Instructor can achieve. Isshinryu 1st Generation student Hanshi Harry G. Smith (Ju Dan) President of Guardian Karate Association, Honored him Yon Dan from his association.
